As soon as you got on they gave you headphones, a pillow and a blanket. The we were then given hot towels to wipe our hands and face. The meals were very good. The drinks on board were free all the way. (Including the alcoholic ones). They kept coming around offering us water, orange juice or red or white wine throughout the flight. I would certainly travel with them again. We flew from Manchester to Singapore then picked up another Singapore airways flight from Singapore then onto Penang, Malaysia. Where we had the same treatment on that flight. (Albeit a shorter flight). The business class experience on Singapore Airlines is one of the best if not the best. The service was great, the food hot and tasty, and the ambience on the upper deck soft and quiet... making all for a comfortable ride. I had a Singapore Sling poured all over me by the passenger beside me right at the start of the journey. Despite me fearing an uncomfortable 13 hour flight, the crew did everything to making me at ease... pyjamas, soft dry padding on the seat, rinsed my clothes... not much more I could ask for. Only complaint was the high cost of the ticket though. Have flown them lots of times to Australasia. I prefer them to any other airline for that route. I have only flown economy on this airline, but despite the long flights, it is quite comfortable and the entertainment system is very good. The stopover in Singapore is great value, and an excellent way to break a very long journey. Taking 24 hours just to rest and relax in Singapore is fantastic. The kids loved Singapore Zoo (no cages!), the night safari, there are beaches at Sentosa Island, and of course a "Singapore sling" in the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel. The hotels are lovely and very reasonable. The best Airline I have flown with, have flown many other Airlines, this one the BEST! WELL DONE. My brother and wife also of the same opinion. They are in Singapore at the moment with three children on holiday.
