This is a strictly Muslim, dry airline but which compensates by offering excellent, if rather old fashioned service and values. Seating on refurbished Boeing 767 ERs is 2-3-2 with what seemed like plenty of room to stretch. Food is a reasonable mix of south Asian & western with plenty of choice. The IFE is modern and has a wide selection of ~320 CDs and a good set of, often bowdlerized films.
We stopped over in BSB and found just about enough to do for the time available. It's really a small provincial town owned by one of the richest men in the world - The Sultan. Gold has been added to mosques as if it was going out of fashion
