Date of Travel: Oct 2007 Flying from: Prestwick Airport Flying to: Palma Mallorca Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: Yes Submitted By: W. Stevenson Comments: The flight out was one hour late, due to a hen party getting lost. Not the airlines fault, but because of it we lost our time slot. The flight itself was smooth and uneventful, but the food was awful, chicken or tuna sandwich. (Same on return). The flight crew were very good and did all they could to make our flight comfortable. The return flight left spot on time, it was a very bumpy flight home, again the crew did all they could to make us comfortable. There was no in-flight entertainment, as it was a short flight we did not mind. We will fly with this airline again.
Date of Travel: Sep 2007 Flying from: Edinburgh Airport Flying to: Lanzarote Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: Yes Submitted By: May Mutch Comments: After reading the comments regarding this airline, I wanted to change to Thomas Cook and fly from Glasgow. But we didn't and flew from Edinburgh to Lanzarote. Was very apprehensive, but although the check in systems at Edinburgh broke down, and we were warned that we would be taking off late, we did actually take off on time. Did not have the in-flight meal - never do. Staff were very courteous, drink and snacks cheaper than Thomas Cook. In-flight entertainment was good, although as with most airlines earphones had to be purchased. More leg room for my husband who is 5ft 11in tall. On the way back Lanzarote check in failed, again took off on time. Again staff were pleasant, airplane clean. Snacks and drinks reasonably priced. Landings both times were the smoothest I have experienced, no bumps, didn't realise you were on the ground. The pilots both got hand clapped appreciation from the passengers. Definitely would not hesitate to fly with them again.
Date of Travel: Aug 2007 Flying from: Norwich International Airport Flying to: Lanzarote Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: No Submitted By: Nicki James Comments: Flight out on time uncomfortable due to limited legroom. Table broken. Food terrible. They do not cater for kids at all!! Flight home worse, in flight entertainment not working, plane dirty and smelly. Had to stop in Majorca to refuel and change pilot??? So 2 hours late. Had to pay for drinks etc. Would not recommend!!
Date of Travel: Jul 2007 Flying from: Edinburgh Airport Flying to: Lanzarote Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: No Submitted By: Lorna Comments: Just travelled with party of five on four and a half hour flight. No drink offered with the most inedible meal I have ever had the misfortune to be presented with. Tea/coffee or 25cl cans were available at the ridiculous price of £1.50 each. Staff were more interested in selling duty free/head phones/snacks/lottery tickets with one complaining that they were tired and had a hard job. Not the most thrilling start/finish to our hard worked for holiday. Will not travel with them again, and would not recommend them.
Date of Travel: Jun 2007 Flying from: Prestwick Airport Flying to: Palma Mallorca Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: No Submitted By: Scott Brown Comments: L.T.E. must be the worst airline I have ever encountered. I was meant to leave Prestwick international airport on Friday 8 the June at 16:10 I ended up flying out at 00:30 8 hours later. No explanation for delay. Got on plane after 20 mins got in-flight meal moldy B.L.T in wrapper which was partly open. Rest of flight ok .
On return journey plane due to leave Palma at 13:10 went to boarding gate waited 20 mins. No plane arrived, next thing the plane was canceled no explanation. Had to phone home to get any information. 3hours later gate re-opened and we were herded onto a bus and towards a waiting l.t.e plane, which we did not get on we were put on a chartered Portuguese airline which was absolutely filthy. Passengers were opening duty free perfume and after shaves to get rid of the smell of urine again no explanation from L.T.E of why this was happening.
IN SHORT THIS MUST BE THE WORST AIRLINE EVER
Date of Travel: Oct 2006 Flying from: Exeter Airport Flying to: Tenerife South Reina Sofia Airport Class: Economy Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Not Specified Comments: Nothing wrong with the flight over very well pleased .On the way home to Exeter having had a bad bug I fainted, my friends who were with me said the cabin crew were 100% and I thank them for all the help they gave me, also thank you to the two nurses from Exeter hospital. Will fly again with them.
Date of Travel: Oct 2006 Flying from: Birmingham International Airport Flying to: Tenerife South Reina Sofia Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Haydn Costin Comments: Was a bit wary of flying a non-UK charter airline, especially given the comments seen on other websites about LTE International Airways. However, no major complaints in the end - flight on time on the way out and only 20 minutes late back due to a passenger having "fell down" according to the captain, not travelling and therefore having his bags removed. Aircraft clean both ways and not showing unreasonable wear and tear. No entertainment on way out but on return the A320 was slightly newer and they showed a movie, charge for the headphones.
Only downside was the food - basic to say the least, even by charter airline standards. Especially given I was told by another passenger that the flight crew had a far better meal than the passengers! Also you had to pay for a coffee / tea with the meal which is not the norm on a UK charter airline.
Overall this flight did what it said on the tin - got us out and back for a holiday in the sun with minimum fuss. Would travel on this airline again if the holiday I wanted demanded it, but my preference would be to fly with a UK charter airline in future (my preference, nothing to do with this flight experience).
Date of Travel: Sep 2006 Flying from: London Gatwick Airport Flying to: Tenerife South Reina Sofia Airport Class: Economy Recommended: No Submitted By: Mr M Wright Comments: Flights with a previous airline cancelled & moved to this airline, who we had never heard of!
The aeroplane had seen better days, all of the seats had head covers which were dirty & covered in grubby stains from fingers or peoples heads! Nice! No legroom, which, considering I'm only 5'4ft, means that anyone of average height is going to suffer!
The flight attendants were actually very pleasant, considering the conditions they had to work in!
I think the worst part of this flight was the food. I've tasted many, many plane meals & my partner actually mocks me for eating anything I'm given on an aeroplane (including hers!) but this was nasty stuff! Basically, it was cold mash & cold (cooked) chicken pieces. That was it! No drink. You had to buy those for one euro each, which was a miniature can of coke etc. The food itself tasted so strongly of pepper, I know my old man would have had an episode with his stomach ulcers if he had been there! It was almost like they were masking the flavour to conceal its true taste!
All that said, we got there safely, no turbulence & on time, so fair enough!
Would not recommend for the nervous flier!
