Date of Travel: Aug 2007 Flying from: Bristol Airport Flying to: Barcelona Airport Class: Economy Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Gerry Snell Comments: We were a family traveling, 10 of us. 2 adults and two small children. 1 person disabled, 1 person pregnant and one Senior citizen. Easy Jet were so helpful and the general attitude was first class. No delays, no lost luggage, just good service from Bristol to Barcelona and back. They even allowed the extra huge stuffed toys that the children won at Port Aventura on to the flight without any problem Never charged a penny (or cent) extra. Very good value. Nothing similar to the rubbish that the BBC show about EasyJet.
Date of Travel: Jul 2007 Flying from: Liverpool John Lennon Airport Flying to: Krakow John Paul II International Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: T Jennings Comments: I am a wheelchair user with a small 3 wheel electric scooter and enjoy European city breaks. EasyJet again has made my trip Easy with efficient friendly staff and transfer on and off the aircraft was no problem and ambulift was waiting, highly recommended.
Note JET2 effectively positively discriminate against travelers with mobility aids over 32kg e.g. all micro scooter as none are this light so fly with EasyJet.
Date of Travel: Jul 2007 Flying from: London Stansted Airport Flying to: Munich Airport Class: Economy Recommended: No Submitted By: Thomas Schwarzfischer Comments: I and another 30 passengers were refused boarding after queuing up at check-in for 90 minutes and subsequently being late at the gate. There is not much more you can do than turning up at the airport 2 hours prior to departure. EasyJet promised to cover hotel accommodation, food expenses and an alternative flight the next day, but refused to pay anything afterwards. I must warn everybody to travel EasyJet. If something goes wrong, your low-cost ticket can turn into a really expensive experience. EasyJet does not pay unless you take your case to court. Their staff in the service centre seems to be trained not to answer any questions regarding compensations. Need examples? Q: "Your representative promised the airline will cover hotel accommodation" - A: "EasyJet values your opinion"; Q: "How about the EU regulations on passenger rights?" - A: "EasyJet staff are consistently committed to customer satisfaction."

I work on the railways and feel humbled by the cost of flying when I know the price by train - if only they could match the carbon footprint of trains...

Will fly with them again. Really friendly staff. Quick check in. Thanks easy jet and keep up the good work.
Date of Travel: Mar 2007 Flying from: Bristol Airport Flying to: Malaga Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: victor edwards Comments: Yes a cheap no frills flight but at £90 return its good value forget the bad reports it sometimes gets Easyjet is just that. Easy. Ok you have to pay for food and drink so do most other airlines. Staff are so friendly and helpful depending on your attitude to them. My advice always be early to check in and avoid the agro.
Date of Travel: Mar 2007 Flying from: London Gatwick Airport Flying to: Belfast International Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Liz Comments: Had doubts about traveling with Easyjet due to TV Coverage but was extremely satisfied all round. We arrived at the airport early for our return flight home and they transferred us onto an earlier flight without any hassle at all.
The checking in online is grrrreaattt no hanging around at check in desks. All the staff very pleasant and helpful what a great bunch.
Date of Travel: Mar 2007 Flying from: Belfast International Airport Flying to: Alicante Airport Class: Charter/Package Recommended: Yes Submitted By: R Thompson Comments: Having flown three times with easy jet I have no complaints, except on departure from Alicante. On the three occasions the confusion caused a few arguments because no one seemed to know which queue they were supposed to be in. and a lot of the people were very rude and did not allow for genuine mistakes. This did not include myself but made for an uncomfortable situation. I am surprised there was not real trouble as a few were very nasty. Every one was on time but still it was a case of every one asking every one else where they should be think it could be better organized.
Date of Travel: Feb 2007 Flying from: Copenhagen Airport Flying to: London Stansted Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Albert van Biljon Comments: I bought an easyJet flight from Copenhagen to London Stansted after having missed a return flight. This cost me GBP 200.00, which was expensive for a supposedly low-cost airline, but I was glad to be able to fly home that night. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed by 1 hour, which is really bad if you're flying into Stansted late on a Sunday, because lack of public transport into and in London might hit you hard! The reasons for the delay were simply that the incoming flight was delayed - great! I didn't buy any food on board neither did I use the toilets. Most announcements were only in English, but some were even played back from a Danish recording. Easyjet isn't usually my first choice for flights, but they do come in handy sometimes! It's like getting on the bus if you hear the engine roaring around the corner, but they don't always come cheap or on time.
Date of Travel: Feb 2007 Flying from: London Stansted Airport Flying to: Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Class: Economy Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Sharon Comments: The flight was bang on time, after a rather military style check in (not Easyjet's fault!). On board, the seats were comfortable, clean and modern, with plenty of literature. Lots of fresh air available through the air system.
This was my first flight at 43 years of age, and I was terrified. I cried for 10 minutes before take off but none of the staff noticed or came to ask if I was ok. However, a Dutch passenger had the kindness in his heart to talk to me and I did get over my original nerves, thanks to him.
The plane arrived at Schipol early and the check in was easy. During the flight, do not sit in the middle of the plane, or you will literally only have about 4 minutes to drink the coffee you have purchased before they come and take it back!
Return flight - check in was delayed and there was a long queue to get on the plane. Our party of four had to sit apart both times (but that is because we did not use the sit together). Flight was smooth and swift.
Big tip - if you want extra leg room, sit on the outside seat of the emergency exits, it's as good a premium!
Would use again!
Date of Travel: Dec 2006 Flying from: Liverpool John Lennon Airport Flying to: Alicante Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: June Brindle Comments: Easyjet have a system in place for boarding as you do not get seat numbers
1st on priority booked on internet, 2nd disabled and children 3rd numbers 1 to 31
4th 32 to 64?
We had 32 to 36 but had to get the bus, we were on the 1st bus, when we arrived at the plane only the rear door was open but we had to wait after 10 minutes they let us off the bus to board and had to get on at the rear, meanwhile the second bus appeared and they opened the front door and we were not allowed to get on there.
So after getting to the airport very early to get a seat together we boarded the plane last and the 4 of us had separate seats, two of our party were nervous of flying and were upset, I have flown with easy jet a few times and overall are very good
Date of Travel: Dec 2006 Flying from: London Stansted Airport Flying to: Barcelona Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Pauline Young Comments: Staff were very good, especially in Barcelona, where our check-in took only minutes.
My husband, who is tall and often has problems with leg room, found he was seated fairly comfortably and had more room than we often have with other airlines on long-hauls!
For a budget airline, I'd say Easyjet were up there with the best of them.

Overall, a nice flight!

Date of Travel: Dec 2006 Flying from: London Stansted Airport Flying to: Palma Mallorca Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: No Submitted By: Not Specified Comments: Pray nothing goes wrong when flying with Sleazy - they have no concept of the term 'customer service'. I've flown with them literally hundreds of times and most journeys are uneventful, but if something goes wrong then they just drop you where you lie. No information, no assistance, no compensation and absolutely no concern as to the customer's welfare, physical or mental. They just can't get it thru their small minds that not everybody lives close to the airport and have the option to go home and come back tomorrow, even when you inform them that the reason you are there is because you have paid them to get you home! My advice, pay an extra few quid and fly with a company that will look after you in the event of a problem - I now use Air Berlin whenever possible.
Date of Travel: Nov 2006 Flying from: Newcastle International Airport Flying to: Palma Mallorca Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Marina Raine Comments: Well Easyjet are the best airline I have flown with in a while. We had lots of leg room and the cabin crew were so friendly and helpful. The flights where on time both ways. Would fly with them again. Hope this is some help to anyone wanting to fly with Easyjet.
Date of Travel: Nov 2006 Flying from: London Stansted Airport Flying to: Barcelona Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Lee Chapman Comments: I always choose to fly with Easyjet where possible, usually due to the high levels of customer service, which is always surprising no matter what the price I pay is, for a low cost airline they go a long way in delivering good customer service and training there staff. Sometimes they provide an airstar at some airports, but I don't generally expect this. Drinks are on par with most charter and scheduled carriers and half the price of Ryanair's. I personally don't think there is much choice in terms of hot snacks, but they are not stupid prices.
I have only been delayed once with Easyjet, after flying with them on 11 return flights, and when this happened they offered us free drinks, even BA didn't do that when I paid 4 times as much for my ticket.
Definitely recommend Easyjet.

Date of Travel: Nov 2006 Flying from: Alicante Airport Flying to: London Luton Airport Class: Economy Recommended: No Submitted By: tanneddarling Comments: My flight was cancelled and they just didn't care. I actually had to be in London Luton for an interview with the airline themselves - so you would have thought they'd have been more helpful!!
Nope - I was left like an idiot and told to go home or wait. At the time I was checking in - there was no bus home - so I was stuck at the airport.
I heard other customers being told they weren't going to be allowed on the Gatwick flight due to not having documentation - my chance I thought and so approached the desk about the 2 seats they had!!
Nope - they were for someone else- yet here's me having to go to speak to said airline. They couldn't even phone London for me!!
Eventually I got on the flight - thanks to persistence.
No thanks to Easyjet on the ground
The cabin crew were nice enough - but was left to get across London on my own. It took me a few months to get my money back too!

Date of Travel: Sep 2006 Flying from: London Gatwick Airport Flying to: Alicante Airport Class: Low Cost Seat Recommended: No Submitted By: Greg Comments: EasyJet is barely acceptable until something goes wrong. They lost my luggage about a year ago and tried to mislead me saying I would have to claim on insurance. The "help" line is premium rate and staff are well-trained to avoid offering compensation. Only when I sought legal advice and had virtually taken them to court did I manage to force about half of what I was owed from them...
Basically EasyJet is a lottery and if it goes wrong you're screwed...
Date of Travel: Jul 2006 Flying from: London Luton Airport Flying to: Edinburgh Airport Class: Economy Recommended: Yes Submitted By: Gordon Hindley Comments: Had my flight cancelled with weeks to go when returning from Cornwall to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Was told to get to Luton where an alternative flight would be provided and train fares would be refunded. Needless to say 6 months later they eventually were without the interest incurred I might add. Was given a £3 voucher which was only useful in Boots for a sandwich and juice because having took one and a half hours travelling through London on the Gatwick Express to get to Luton to be ferried to the terminal by bus we were told our flight was delayed another hour. We got home 9 hours after leaving Cornwall, (should have drove from Fife!)
Apparently offered a voucher for the inconvenience after 3 letters being lost the 1st was posted at Luton on the day of the flight. Then told we should have registered for the flight on Oct 15th 2006 having not been informed about it until January 2007. Easyjet, there was nothing easy about getting on their Jet.
