Alitalia's employee herself told us that that is a common thing for Alitalia and that I shouldn't worry. I filled all the forms and was waiting. (That is why you should never lose your receipt for any carrying luggage). I received my luggage thankfully two days later and was delivered as expected to me. However, a week later, when I trying to check in for my return fly, the staff told that my return fly was cancelled because I hadn't travelled with Alitalia in the first place. This was so untrue since Alitalia had lost my luggage in the first place and they keep record of the forms I had filled. She also told me that I should have checked for my reservation before coming to the airport but for what, my return flight? She managed to book me in the next available flight which meant waiting 6 hours in Rome's airport and another 2 hours for the new airplane's delay. To be honest, after this experience, I am never flying with Alitalia again. I tried filling a complain form and they ignored me as expected. I have never had such an experience in my whole life. The airplane was absolutely disgusting and the staff were very rude.
